Before You Begin

What you'll need.

Your iPhone

Any iPhone model with Find My works.

Your Keep Card

Make sure the battery pull tab has been removed (if present).

Battery activated

New cards ship with a pull tab. Pull it out to activate the battery.

Getting Started

Open the Find My app on your iPhone.

Find My is pre-installed on every iPhone running iOS 14.5 or later. Swipe down on your home screen and search "Find My" to locate it instantly.

Setup step 1
In the App

Tap the "Items" tab at the bottom of the screen.

The Items tab is where all your accessories live — AirTags, third-party trackers, and your Keep Card. Tap it to get started.

Adding Your Card

Tap the "+" button to add a new item.

In the Items tab, tap the blue "+" (Add Item) button in the top right corner. Your iPhone will start scanning for nearby accessories.

NFC Pairing

Hold your Keep Card near the top of your iPhone.

Hold the Keep Card flat against the back of your iPhone, near the camera area. Your phone uses NFC to detect the card instantly — no app, no QR code.

Almost Done

Give your Keep Card a name and choose an emoji.

iOS will prompt you to name your item. Choose something you'll recognise — "My Wallet", "Passport", "Work Bag". Pick an emoji too.

All Set

Tap Done. Your Keep Card is live.

That's it. Your card is now registered in Apple's Find My network. You can see its last known location on a map, make it ring, and get notified if it's left behind.

Setup complete! Your Keep Card is now protected by over 1 billion Apple devices worldwide.

My iPhone isn't detecting the Keep Card.
  • Make sure Bluetooth is ON (Settings → Bluetooth).
  • Hold the card flat against the back of your iPhone for 3 full seconds.
  • Try moving the card closer to the camera area at the top.
  • Restart Bluetooth: toggle it off, wait 5 seconds, toggle back on.
  • If the card still won't pair, the battery tab may still be in — check the card edge for a small plastic tab and remove it.
I can't find the Find My app on my iPhone.
  • Swipe down from your home screen and search "Find My".
  • If it's missing, go to App Store and reinstall it (it's free and made by Apple).
  • Make sure you're signed into iCloud: Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Find My → On.
  • iOS 14.5 or later is required. Go to Settings → General → Software Update if you need to update.
The card paired but I can't see it on the map.
  • This is normal for a new card. The location updates when another Apple device passes near it.
  • In a busy area like Dubai Mall, location updates happen within minutes.
  • If you're at home alone, location may take longer to update — this is how Apple's private network works.
  • Make sure Location Services is ON: Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Find My → Always.
The card rang once but won't ring again.
  • Open Find My → Items → tap your Keep Card → tap "Play Sound".
  • If the sound doesn't start, the card may be out of Bluetooth range (10–20 meters max).
  • Move closer to where you think the card is, then try again.
  • The card's speaker is loud but directional — listen carefully in different directions.
My card isn't showing "left behind" alerts.
  • Tap your Keep Card in Find My → scroll down → tap "Notify When Left Behind" → toggle ON.
  • Add any "safe" locations (home, office) where you don't want alerts.
  • Make sure notifications are enabled: Settings → Notifications → Find My → Allow Notifications.
